Roger Inniss - Bass

As a self-taught musician Roger began to listen to and study everything from Bix Beiderbecke to Roland Kirk, Eric Dolphy to Cecil Taylor, rock, pop, and country - anything that would give him the opportunity to perform expressively.

Over the years he has spent most of his time touring, gigging, recording or working on projects with other creative people, including sculptors, actors and visual and musical artists. "It's all about the spirit and the vibe" he says when describing his reasons for being involved in projects. "I love it when individuals bring their skills and expertise together and develop something that is totally unique to that time and space ....... When we all give but we all receive as well... that's my vibe man." UK, France, Germany, USA, Japan, Cuba, wherever Roger has gone he has sought out this truth and answered its call.

Carl Hemmingsley - Drums

Carl was awarded the Kenny Clare Drum Award as the "most exciting drummer on show” in the BBC Big Band competition. Still at the age of 18 he was featured on a special programme on BBC Radio 2 as one of the major award winners.

A crucial member of both the Tim Amann Xtet since 1996 and the Walsall Jazz Orchestra from 1989, Carl is a professional musician. He is familiar with a variety of musical styles and regularly plays in soul and rock bands as well as jazz. He currently also plays with Ruby Turner, Steve Tromans (modern jazz) and with the Solid Soul Collective (soul-funk).
