London’s Salsa Tropicana radio show is the show that represents the UK salsa scene. Its dancers, events, music and dance topics down to the surface of the dance floor. The only unique Salsa radio show in London broadcasted on Station 89.8FM, The show is presented by Salsa DJ/Presenter Del Salereo.
Del Salereo's Profile
Del Salereo is a dedicated Salsa DJ and one of the main sources for Salsa in its entirety. Covering Cuban, Puerto Rican, Columbian, Venezuelan and New York mambo on British airwaves.
An experienced club DJ back as far as 1982; Del has played 80’s soul up and down the country. Del’s first encounter with radio was back in the days of the early 80’s when land pirate stations such as J.F.M, Kiss Fm, Horizon and Solar were all in the running for licensing.
His DJ presentation skills were styled on 80’s Soul DJ/Presenter James Anthony who presents an 80’s Soul show on Star point radio and is behind Taste the music promotions. He went on to take DJ radio presenting courses and has now obtained qualified radio broadcasting and TV presenting skills certificates. Del Salereo took up Salsa dancing in 1999 at a club called Villa Stefano’s.
Since then his love for Salsa grew and over the years took on the task of learning the music artists and the scene.
