JOHNNY G. has been on the Latin circuit in the UK from the beginning of the popularity of Salsa Music and the emergence of its dance scene in the late 80’s.
He has a wealth of experience to offer to the present diversified Salsa scene.
His breadth of knowledge of musical styles is matched by few in the business and many know him as the Latin Expert who worked and was encharged at Mr Bongo’s record shop for 10 years.
He is a journalist, having written music articles in “Noticias Latin America” newspaper and reviewing music releases in magazines such as ‘Straight no Chaser’ and ‘Latin London’. He has also collaborated with DJ Gerry Lyghsett at GLR Radio, presenting the weekly World Music show “Planet Mambo”.
Over the years, Johnny G has been a resident DJ at venues such as “Loughborough Hotel”, “Bar Rumba”,”Havana” and “Salsa Fusion”. But he has also given many guest DJ appearances at different venues, Music Festivals, Concerts and special events.
