The 2nd Crystal Salsa Party takes place on the weekend of the 3rd to 5th October, in the Wieliczka salt mine in Poland. This year has New Swing Sextet playing live at the Saturday night party in the Crystal Ballroom, 125 metres underground.

Salsa Central attended last year, and even though we missed our flights and subsequently took many many hours to get there, we will be definitely be attending again!! Click here to see our video diary, and see the video gallery for footage of some of the performances.

There will be two full days of workshops, two parties in the Magnificent Crystal Ballroom, and two other parties.

Flights are available from most UK airports to Katowice or Krakow (We're flying Wizzair), and there are a number of hotels within walking distance of the venue.

Is it too early to book flights? images/wink.gif
Can't wait for this! I'm taking caving gear this time though!

It's unlikely you'll hear any of your favourites or well know tracks here. It's almost a rule that "Ultra Rare old 70s" Salsa is played that nobody has heard before. Apparently this is the way it is in Poland...
