Ricardo Ray - Comojen (Salsurban Re-edit)
This is one of those tracks that changes part-way. You get a couple of
minutes of kick-ass cha-cha, then it's salsa for about 30 seconds. This
re-edit extends the salsa part.
Ocho Y Mas - Toro Mata
Good solid tune from a top album for 2007.
Calambuco - Africa Salsera
From an album I reviewed a while back. A few good ones to pick from on this cd, but this is my fave. Great percussion!!
Lebron Brothers - Abran Camino
From the recently reissued 'Criollo' CD on Fania - pure class!!
George Guzman - Marilu
Another half 'n' half track - Cha Cha then Boogaloo, and it's all about shoes. How apt! Perfect after-party material ;-)
New Swing Sextet - Monta Mi Caballito
My new favourite from the new album.
Johnny Cruz - El Swing
Featuring Adalberto Santiago on vocals. From the CD 'Back to the Classics' which features a whole array of legends on vocals.
Grupo Caribe - Tambo La Rumba
From the 'Somos Caribenos' CD, released in 2007. Really solid feel to the track and perfect for dancing.
Cubanoson - Recordando a Cuba
Real nice cuban style track, from a great album.
Oscar de Leon - lloraras
An oldie, and you'll have heard this many times. For good reason!
